Frequently Asked Questions

Can You give me Technical Help with Facebook Live?: Unfortunately we cannot offer technical help if you are not able to use Facebook Live , but thousands of resources are available online. We chose Facebook Live for Paint-In because its so easy to use and freely available. Our structured online systems use a different service which offers a direct two way interactive link to the school studio

Can you paint at my pace? We might be – but we don’t know ! Thousands of people from schoolchildren to retired artists are watching so we have to transmit at the demonstrator’s pace.  This has the advantage of reducing the broadcast time for those who can’t tune in for long, and of course you can re-watch it as many times as you like at our Facebook page and then do it at your own pace.

Can you improve the sound/video? We are transmitting in HD video and sound, if you can’t hear it the solution is at your end. Please use headphones and/ or double check your sound settings on your device. Thousands of people enjoy the broadcasts in HD with clear sound, and unless the internet goes down – which is beyond our control – you can too.

Can you break it down step by step and teach me? Of course, and we do  but only on our courses. Paint-In is a free community broadcast to give you an art club style demonstration rather than a structured and personalised learning experience.

Can I show you my painting? Of course, in fact we love to receive images of what everybody has done and messages too – on our Facebook page.

Can you send me the image? Just download the image from this website to your device and either work from your screen or print it out.

Please remember it’s free , it’s fun and be community spirited. Stay indoors, protect the NHS and Keep Painting !
